Hello, friends! I'm blessed to have a few extra days in Spain, and took the opportunity to visit some Ignatian and spiritual sites. Here are some pictures of:
1. The Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (highest point in Barcelona)
2. The monastery of Montserrat
3. The Black Madonna (where St. Ignatius of Loyola wrote his general confession and dedicated himself as a soldier of God)
4. Cova de Sant Ignasi in Manresa (where St. Ignatius devised much of what became the Spiritual Exercises)
This was for March 24th, recorded for the Ascension App
Thanks for your patience - here is our next installment of The Journey - it's session # 96, but I'm also calling it PART 1 of a "miniseries" on John chapter 6.
Whoever watches it first, please let me know if it looks good or if there are any problems with it - I get through the first two sections of the text on the feeding of the 5,000.
Enjoy!
I mentioned in The Journey that I wrote a song based on Isaiah 2, which is one of my favorite OT passages:
In days to come, the mountain of the Lord’s house
shall be established as the highest mountain, and raised above the hills.
All nations shall stream toward it. Many peoples shall come and say:
“Come, let us go up to the Lord’s mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, That he may instruct us in his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For from Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He shall judge between the nations, and set terms for many peoples.
They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again. House of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!
I hope you like the song!
I'm in Washington DC, at the annual conference of the Academy of Catholic Theology. We're not really settled in our new home yet, which made it hard to leave, but this trip was planned long before I knew when we would find a house, let alone move into it. So here I am on the road again, looking forward to a good conference, but also kind of wishing it wasn't right now. I'm not presenting anything, only introducing one of the plenary speakers, Michael Barber. If you've never read anything by him, he's got some pretty good stuff (even if we do disagree on the date for the book of Revelation) - here's his author page on Amazon:

Wishing everyone who is, or has ever had, a mother a beautiful day of family and/or good memories.
Tammy and I are very happy to be back in Florida! Now only two more days in our rental of almost 4 years, and on Tuesday we officially move into our new home! I should be back on schedule by the end of the month.
